It's seductive, isn't it? Every photo we have represents a moment in time - a glimpse into the past through a secret peep-hole. The older the photo, the fewer we have, and so the more precious they become - so worth looking after.
There is a world of detail in every photo, a subject Jane wrote about last year: Reading Faces in Old Photos. We advise clients to hold onto their antique, historical and family-precious images even after the repair or the restoration. It's always nice to have a back up. |
